I was posting on the Killzone thread, but then I thought.. well, I have a lot of questions and im sure I will have more.

so im starting my own HELP! thread



ok... im online hurrah! thats the big one done!


BUT some games I play go a lil weird! like Timespliters FP is perfect... Delta force is 99% perfect and Battlefield2 is about 90%


in BF2 it works fine but every now and again I 'ZIP' forward or to the side or end up in a room I didnt go to.

I can only put this down to connection. so have any of you know what im talking about..? and how can I fix it? I guess if its signal strength I should improve it, but if its not.. Im not sure what I can do?

The zipping around thing sounds like lag, and that is a connection issue. By 'go to a room I didn't go to' are you talking about when playing the actual game, or the pregame lobbies where you select what game room you want to join?

no, the lobbys are totally fine, and the ping and connection status things that some games have say that im as good as everyone else.

but in the game i zip in to a room like a Bunker or something when im just walking past it! lol

liek I say it doesnt happen with TS or DSelta force but Battlefield its happened a few times.

looks like I should improve my connection then!


I was playing Need for Speed and that was fine too... maybe its because in Battlefield theres loads going on compared to Timesplitters and Delta force?

It sounds to me like an issue with EA. The Xbox version of the game was absolutely horrible when it came to connection issues, and in fact, every EA game I've played on XBL has been absolutely horrible in terms of functionality.

The lag could also be due to what server you're trying to join. Being in England, were you to try to join, say, US East, because it has the most players, you're definitely going to get lag either way. We briefly had a guy in my Halo 2 clan who was from New Zealand, and he always lagged, every game.

I think that Timesplitters is just really well made in terms of online (probably why it took so bloody long to make, lol)

as that is smooth as silk and just fantastic.


but yeah, tho Battlefield is quality (in terms of what you can do/graphics etc, but I think you have hit the nail on the head..
I either need to find an English game or just put up with the zipping.. or not play. but what you just said about EA... I agree. Burnout doesnt work ..something about myt firewall and a certain PORT no. and SSX doesnt either! poo to EA

funny tho.. out of 16 game sthat I have found in my collection so far only 3 dont work.. which isnt bad at all. tho I guess they ALL should work. might try Socom2 later.


is there anything on the market that could help boost a wirless BB signal? because im not using phoneline or cable to get my BB, that maybe why my ping drops or something?


I will experiment tonight, I can bring up the signal on my lappy, so while I play and should be able to see if it drops and how bad it drops etc..
