I was gonna make a smart-alleck comment about the 260 being the model that ships without a controller or a power source...

In any event, I doubt I'll be buying a new console anytime soon. I'm still pinning my hopes on the PS1 emulation for the PSP, and I'd really rather have a new Canon 20D (digital SLR) anyhow.

Outside the GT series, I haven't found any races on the PS2 that I care for, at all.

Then again, I'm a big sim racing fan, so that probably explains it.

I'm the exact opposite way. I hate the GT series, but love arcade racers like Burnout and Need for Speed (well, I DID love Need for Speed, not so much anymore).

I think HP2 was the pinacle of the NfS series. The first underground was interesting then they just started pumping out naff releases.

you know.. i really REALLY wish they would stop this night time chav racing genre for the NFS.. its not like I dont like it, I love it!!

but i loved the day time ones much more. all those short cuts and amazing cars, was just so sweet. now its night time streets and skylines.. not that we shouldnt have those sort of games from EA, because they are very cool. but i just wish they would bring out the original format as a change or as well as.

i would buy both!

That's far and away my favorite of the series too. Once they started doing that Underground shit, I lost interest. Stupid Fast and the Furious, it ruined everything .

i think its weird that EA havent carried on the original format of NFS at all after the one or two editions that were on the PS2.
