Default Madden 2006

I was a little disappointed by this game. The gameplay is great, I like the QB Vision (now people who abuse Vick's speed are paying for it), commentary is nice, graphics are great (but I switched from Madden 2005 on the PS2 to Madden 2006 on the Xbox, so I'm not sure how great), and those "unstoppable" plays can be stopped a lot easier now.

But I'm greatly annoyed by a few things in the game. For instance, unless this is some crazy 1 in a billion coincidence, why does heads always win on the coinflip? It doesn't win 100% of the time, but it seems like 4 out of 5 games, heads will win. That's huge when you're the away team in OT and can receive the ball if you just hit heads. How could they not fix that? It's been in the game for a while, and all you have to do is set-up a randomizer, 1 to 2, it's not that hard. I don't know much about programming yet, but if they screwed up and set the randomizer wrong, which I've done in Visual Basics before, it might not be random. But how hard is that to fix? It's been in the game so long, and I'm getting sick of it.

Now, some glitches I thought would be fixed are even worse. Instead of the opponent unplugging his cord and you wouldn't get a win, like in Madden 2005, NOW if he unplugs his cord you get a LOSS and a DNF. That's ridiculous. I've had people already threaten me, saying if I don't give them a friendly quit they will unplug and give me a loss. What is up with this?

I never had these problems in ESPN football. I had the problems of the opposing teams getting punt returns with their QB, the stats being screwed up by penalties, and other problems, but they were fixable. Madden is either too lazy to fix these, or they can't do it. I hope it's option 2, because I don't want this crap with the 360.

I didn't like the soundtrack, either. It was mostly rap. Luckily, there's a custom soundtrack option, so I might download a few of the old Madden songs to my box if I can find the equipment.

Anyways, despite that rant seeming all negative, I didn't mention the game improved a hell of a lot with playcalling and other options. It didn't improve like most years it does, but that's what a monopoly will do.

WTF?

I'm not understanding this!

So if you are playing someone on XBox Live (Madden 2006) and you are winning, if the person on the other end who's losing unplugs his controller, you get a loss and he gets a win? What the ****?

I think he means unplugging his Xbox from his internet connection so that the game is forced to end.
And I dont think the other person would get a win though, I'd guess it would be both losses or DNFs.. Do you know what happens to the other person, Lefty?

A new Madden game coming out makes me especially sad that my PS2 died on me a few weeks back...

He gets the same fate. But some people don't care, I guess.
