I seen a hack for putting ur our wallpalers on a psp on a site a few weeks ago. You had to delete some files on ur PSP and do a mem stick swap to get it to work. It changed the red, blue, whatever month colors to whatever jpg. u saved there. They had nothing where u could make ur own though, that's pretty sweet.

Last I heard, using custom backrounds like that can seriously damage your PSP (as you have to modify some of the permanent files on the PSP). I don't know if this has since been fixed, but I don't think I'm going to take the risk...

^^^^^^^^^^^^

That's what I heard too...I didn't mess with it either because of the deleting of files thing. I paid too much for my PSP and accesories to F it up cause i want a different backround. You only see it on the main menue anyway, and I happen to like the colored backrounds. A few of ne way.....

The reason for the mem stick swap was to keep the original settings on one stick and the ones you screwed with on another.

If I wanted a background I would only see in the 10 seconds I look at the psp menus a day, I would load it as a normal image, view it, and press the home button.
It would be cool though if Sony released a working background change option though, or even better, the PS2 crystal clock.

I dont spend too much time looking at my backround to try and change it and have to erase some stuff to do it....... but cool nonetheless

Although it is impressive, putting custom backgrounds on your PSP is a very risky matter. You have to use a program called "PSPersonalize," and like the others said, it involves deleting files that your PSP may need to function properly. I would never take a risk like that one such an expensive piece of hardware and I urge that nobody else does. The only activity I approve of on my PSP is emulation. It doesn't affect your hardware in any way, but if you do it wrong, it could potentially damage your Memory Stick. Final Fantasy III, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Secret of Evermore, Lufia, Secret of Mana, and Breath of Fire all on a PSP is pretty damn awesome. And wait until they crack a PSone emulator.... FFVII on PSP!
