Default Bought a psp (aka help the nub thread)

1 Dead pixel. I won't make a big deal of it.

Got it with lumines. I like the game so far, even though I haven't played it much. I haven't tried the nicer things you can do with the PSP *cough* emulation *cough* or the pictures, but I sure will today. The screen is dead sexy. Even my tech-nubs like my mom and gf noticed that the screen is nice, which is nice.

Now to find that USB cable...

Wait, does the value pack ship with a USB cable at all? Oh well, I'm just gonna use my old man's camera USB cable instead...

Go get some emulators now! I have so many classics on my psp right now, and they all fit on that little 32mb memory stick. I'm so glad I bought my psp now.

I'm not sure if they need to have a certain naming scheme for the movies themselves though.
It's probably easier though to get something like PSP Video 9 to encode and automatically send your movies to the PSP though.

And I can't find where I can get these legal classic game testing devices you speak of.. I would like to experiment with them for a completely legitimate reason.
I've looked before but can't find any reliable sources.

And btw, no, the value pack doesnt come with the USB I think.. but I took the one from my sony MD player, so I was set from the beginning

pspupdates.com has umlators and homebrew software that you can get. They have some casino games, doom, bejeweled, and some other stuff.

Yeah, I have the sites with those homebrew software, however, I can't find a good tutorial to tell me just what to do with them.

I think i may have 2 additional dead pixels, but given that I can hardly notice them, they don't annoy me one bit.

edit: ok it's much easier than i thought, no thanks to SeiPSPTool-0.

I got a question for you, Aaron- Suppose I wanted to update to 1.52 or whatever the newest version of the firmware is, just to see what some things did, if I used the Restore Default Settings option, would it wipe back to 1.50, or should I just avoid 1.52 in the first place if I want to stay at 1.50?
