Default Disgaea

now I know you guys have had this for a while.... well a bloody long time.

but the reason this ol bunny hasnt really been up to much lately is because Disgaea has got me by the knackers!

seriously fkg good game...

but my question to you ...how fkg big is it!!!!!

I mean, it seems like it could go on forever.. I have some amazing weapons and am at level 30, I thought that it wouldnt get much better, but a friend of mine who has played it said that he is still playing it over 200 hours later!!! surely thats madness.

anyway, love the old Skool feel, and cant wait to get the new one thats coming on the PSp.. er, when I get my psp (lol).. im gonna wait for GTA and GT4 I think before I get one.

anyway, Like I have time when Disgaea is in the ps2.

I really honestly didnt think it would be this huge when I started plying it because the graphics are very Mega Drive.. I guess its a rare game that gameplay exceeds over graphics

I've had this game forever as well, but I can never bring myself to play it seriously.

If I can get it cheap I might have to take a look. With college over for now I might have a little more free gaming time.

its a wolf in sheep clothing.

the only way I can acutally play this is to say to myself.. no more games for at least two months.. otherwise I would never play it.

if there was anyone out there who wants an old skool grid based RPG with hundreds of hours of game play and a whole world of weapons and councils and voting and fighting and stuff...its the one for you. its just mad!

but I fear that God Of War may get in the way of Disgaea.. I hope not, but its out next friday (24th i think in the UK).. so I must be strong!

Isn't Phantom Brave the sequel? It's $20.00 at Gamestop now, so I'm going to pick that up soon. But right now, I'm catching up on WoW and Phantasy Star Online. Now, if they would make an online mode for Disgaea vs matches...

Phantom Brave is a sequal in spirit only. It is simply the next game made by the same devs.

As for how big the game is...pretty damn big and almost intimidatingly so. You can level up to level 9,999. The Item world is pretty much infinite and opwering up your item to level 100 and fighting the item gods is something I didn't even both doing. Then you have plenty of other areas, all amazingly hard, thanks to the Demon Congress or whatever they are called.

I beat Disgaea around 90 hours and didn't even come close to doing everything. I simply didn't have the time so I stopped trying and just finished the game.

I've had Disgaea since a few weeks after release. I'll admit, the game was a little weird at first, but I really liked it after a while. It's definitely a lot of fun. I haven't beaten the game, and its been a while since I played, but I plan to beat it someday.
