ps3 game on sale - Page 2

so basically they took all the demo's sony showed, put them on their site to make people think that every demo will actually be a game, and then played it safe by making the prices more

LOL sunburn! i was thinking the same thing.

We Canadians already are close to $90.00 for games (A+ titles) and this increase would put some games close to the 3 digit mark. For me I'm not worried about the increase, but for the peeps here who go to school and stuff, a price increase wouldn't be good.

I really hate EB now. I bought GTA:SA (brand new) and got home and the disc looked like somebody stepped on it and slid it across the pavement. I was pissed cause now I get errors playing

I would bring it back but the store I went to is on the other side of town.

What makes me even pissed more is the fact that the guy looked at the disk b4 he put it in the case......

Where do you shop man? I pick up my games at Future Shop or EB for only around $60, VERY rarely close to the $70 mark.

Dillon, ya we have HMV in Canada and the U.S. - I wouldn't buy my games from there though, Future Shop (Best Buy) or EB are my preference, as they're usually the cheapest around here...

Cat isnt trying to find em cheap, i expect. I manage to find deals fairly often, even being here in the U.S. , ive always enjoyed making it a challenge to find a deal when i can. Especially if you dont really need to have something immediately you can find deals because you take your time and find something when you least expect it...

Yeah, right now I pay my games at the most $65, EBGames or elsewhere... I always try to find the cheapest deal (whether it's FS, EB, or Amazon.ca)...

I wouldn't mind paying $75 for some games (emphasis on some - maybe a handful a year at most). But I don't think I'd pay $80 and more. I used to do it (FFVIII anyone?) and I don't want to go back to that.

I rememeber not long after FFVIII was released, Sears had a random 50% off on all games sale, so I got it new for $20US, sweet deal

My brother checked in with a friend at Gamespot [or maybe it was EB, don't recall which store] and they have the SKU number in for the X360 now, the price listed for it as of now is $529 after tax.

I can tell you from experience that retailers tend to jump the gun on pricing more often than not.

I'd go more by what J Allard-- despite his oddly trendy wardrobe choices-- tends to think about the XBOX360 price than corporate folks at EB and GameStop think.
