The lighting effects on the cars are quite the eye-candy. Everything else is of the "looks smooth, but nothing to get crazy over" variety. Pretty much what I've expected of the next-generation, yet, some still say the final product will look better (like Madden Next-Gen).

What got me thinking though was, if they were able to get their cars to look like that, imagine what Gran Tourismo Next-Gen is going to look like

That screen is lookin pretty slick. I'm particularily impressed by the brick textures on the buildings. Also, that white truck turning the corner looks freakishly real, and the reflections off of that semi-truck are impressive.

i don't understand why people keep saying this. the new consoles are using next gen video cards, and half life 2 looks about like that, so there's no reason why games can't look like that

Seems like they don't know if the pics are real or fake but it those graphics are certainly possible.

HL2 is for PC though. PC and Console graphics will never be compared. IMO, those are fakes as well. PS3 is another year away from launching and i highly doubt that these are pics from the PS3. Yes it could be pics from the XBox 360 but then again i still highly doubt these are actual Gameplay Pics.
