Default Favorite baseball game for PS2?

I've tried a few different games but MLB 2006 seems to be the best one to me, it feels the most realistic and has the best graphics IMO. What are you favorite baseball games and do you like simulation gameplay or more arcade gameplay?

MLB 2006 is a "jack of all trades, master of none" baseball game. It does a lot of things pretty well, but either MVP 2005 or MLB 2K5 trump it in specific areas.

Example: MLB 2006 has solid commentary-- much better than MVP 2005-- but far inferior to MLB 2K5.

MLB 2006 also is the victim of some nasty lock-ups and in-game crashes. Getting to the bottom of the 9th inning and having the game lock up on you is spirit-breaking... there's no excuse for this happening. MLB 2K5 also has its share of bugs (another passed ball???), too... while MVP 2005 is pretty clean in the department.

It's also worth noting that both MLB 2K5 and MLB 2006 borrow at least some elements from previous MVP games, which can lead one to believe that MVP has been the dominant baseball game... and it has been.

This year's order of finish:

1. MVP 2005
2. MLB 2K5
3. MLB 2006

It was a very close race-- the closest that it's been-- but MVP 2005 still prevails by simply not trying to fix what wasn't broken. The poor presentation certainly hurts-- but the solid (and familiar) gameplay makes up for it. MLB 2K5 has the best presentation of the three games without question, but bugs interfere. MLB 2006 is very close again this year, but I can't cut a break to a game that locks up as much as this one does.

I personally think that MLB 2006 is the best game out this year. The game play is awsome plus the online tournaments are great. I currently have 5 tourny wins under my belt. Great game pitching takes skill with the meter also. Hope to see u online!
