I don't get what you're trying to say..that's the point of a handheld..to game on the go, and with the PSP you can play games, watch movies, or listen to music..on the go.

The point is, if your not gaming on the go, or doing something on the go, the psp isnt necessary, you can do that at home since that is where you have all that stuff anyways. I have all the things that the psp has to offer except being able to take it with me, so that is the advantage to it. Yet, im not out of all that money for something with such limited need or useage for me...

True, but it might get some good games that you can't get else where. I have a SP, but I don't play it anymore, because all the games I was interested in, I've played already, and there wasn't many. I will buy PSP mostly for Metal Gear Ac!d since I'm a big Metal Gear fanboy..not to mention I do not have a mp3 player. And then there is Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children..my birthday is coming up next month.

True, i dont own a Xbox or a GameCube(anymore), and i know they have games i cant get anywhere, and still figure i can live with it. Im sure the PsP is everything good everyone is saying about it, its just a matter of desiring it, which currently im not in that category. I know that like anything the buzz about it will prove just how great and whether or not its really something that is needed or not. Ive been known to buy something just for one game, or something like that, but its rare...

We'll add me to the "hate" club cause I bought (have in my hands since Sat) WipeOut Pure, whice I got instead of NFS:R due to the excellent footage and help of some of the staff here and pre-paid Lumines. Lumines also won over Mercury after a lil chat w/ I think Aaron on a different topic, when we discussed Mercury and Lumines.

After a few looks around on this site and others it seems I have ended up w/ 2 of the best titles, thanx PSXE! I tried to pass advice to a friend on what games to get (who after a few screen shots and ALOT of braggin by me on the PSP put down his money for one) didn't listen to me and got Spider Man 2 the game and I said get NBA Showdown...he bought NBA by 989... he got some of the worst titles I think and now since he instantly removed the shrink wrap they won't let him trade it for Showdown. Sad sad sad

have one question, do you guys know what movies will be launching or coming out shortly after, and are there a good bit of companies that are planning on releasing UMD movies?

I went to my my local gamin store last night and UMD movie cases were also already for purchase. Resident:Evil Apocalypes, XXX, and I saw something else and TONS of comin soon UMD games and movies.

I still have no Ipod or portable DVD player so the PSP is a great option for me.
