is it a real shaolin style or just some made up shit?

what I mean is.. is the new Chinese kungfu guy a different character from the rest or are his moves a rehashed version of Law or Lei?


and no sidestepping, so its not real 3D? or have I missed the point?

Feng Wei? His style of fighting is Kenpo, if thats who your talking about.

Or Wang Jinrei? His style of fighting is Xing Yi, which is Kung Fu I believe.

From what I've heard from the reviews and boards around the net it's the best Tekken since 3 and brings the game back to it's roots. I myself being more of a Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur, Tekken is on the bottom of my list so I'll probaly be getting after it hits greatest hit status or really cheap used. But for you Tekken fans it's seems like the best thing since sliced bread. It has the original Tekken, Tekken 2, and Tekken 3 arcade version included and has more of a Virtual Fighter bonus system.
I was waiting for SC2 so bad and it wasn't everything I hoped it to be and since I just haven't really been into the fighting genre like I used to be. Hell I'm still waiting to find me a copy of Marvel vs Capcom 2 for cheap!

I owned a few of the Tekken games but I just couldn't fave trying to learn all those combos. I prefer my fighting to be much more straightforward. This could have something to do with the fact that my mates would spend all day playing the games and learning the combos while I had to go out to college/work and so repeatedly got my ass handed to me.

Xing Yi…. Interesting.

As its an internal art like TaiChi…. I would be interested to see how they have turned it in to a fighting style. Whether they have actually used the moves from the style or just made up stuff like they did on Mortal kombat…. Hmmmm, I may have to purrrchase

Jinpachi makes me want to break things.

I can beat him with Lei Wulong, since hes my favorite character, but with others I dont know...Ive yet to beat him.

Couldn't agree more with everyone here. I play against classmates of mine in the student center when we're between classes. It makes me want to purchase a data card for when I play against guys at the arcade. Now I just have to decide which character I want to master.
