I remember seeing a couple of those when ps3 was first announced. I really hope they keep the design really simple and sleek, like the PSP.

I'm not a huge fan of that one AC. It looks too similar to the PS2 in terms of color-scheme, etc. I kind of like the one Aaron posted, but even that one is quasi-similar in design in terms of the upright position, and so forth. Most of those concepts share some similarity to the PS2. Sony isn't like Apple where they make minor differences in their hardware upgrades (ie. the different iPods) - expect something quite unique, or at least different.

i don't know, kinda reminds me of a toaster ... but i expect something pretty cool from sony.

I dunno Sabbas. If you look at the PS2 and PSX, they both have memory cards that stick out the front, have the same controller ports on the front, have essentially the same controllers, and they are one solid color, they're rectangular with a pretty "industrial" type design (not a whole lot of flash).

I am not saying they look the same, but it's not a total departure. I would expect the new system to share some design characteristics.

ok well i was readin gamespot's rumour control (http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/02...s_6118885.html) and it said that the pics of this ps3 mock up were from an unknown magazine but they r from the australian gadget magazine t3 cause on the phot you can see the t3 exclusive sign and at the start of thw writinf it says t3 and the page looks just like a t3 page

The t3 mock-ups are cool. The round design makes me want to pick it up and go jogging with it instead of playing games. It sort of resembles a walkman.
