Agreed. I've only played MVP, but not MLB. I used to like MVP, and thought it was okay - but baseball games aren't that great IMO.

well yeah, thats sort of the overall problem, that most baseball games DO kinda blow.

it's tough to get excited for games that just offer more of the same, maybe with a new soundtrack or updated roster, etc.

that's one reason why I'm excited for mlb 2k5, because it looks like someone's FINALLY changed the record a little. the new pitching and baserunning functions, plus the new customizable options really help make 2k5 the first baseball game i've been excited about in a long time. obviously i gotta play it before i know for sure if it's good, but just getting excited about it is a LOT more than I can say for most baseball games in recent years. I just wanna play a good baseball game and I have a feeling 2k5 could be it.

also I saw the Yinkees play the Blue Sox in 99 and it was one hell of a game...

the baserunning in 2k5 made me raise an eyebrow a little bit, but then i watched a video, and it makes sense and looks pretty good. it's a welcome addition to the game.
