When I say this I mean on the PS2/Two.
Not having played the final game yet I guess I cannot give a true opinion on this but I know soon we'll all be holding copies and I just wondered if you think it could be surpassed on the current technology or will the next time we see a GT title be on the PS3?

at this point, it would make ZERO sense to release it on the ps2. i dont know why people even voted for it lol

I voted PS3 but they could easily decide to simply change some of the cars and tracks and release an update version rather than a direct sequel. I personally feel this would be a bad idea but who knows. If they release another on the PS2 even if there are no significant improvements over GT4 we all know that it would sell well but I'm hoping they won't get the 'money making' bug and start releasing update after update as is the case with some game franchises.

1. PS3 is a good 1 1/2 - 2 years away for the US release. 2. GT3 is right about done, and to restart the hole porting process into Blue-Ray(Speculated PS3 Drive/Meda Usage) for the PS3 and improving graphics, plus adding more cars would be the logical step would take way too long and waste to much of Sony's money. 3. And if we have to wait another 1-2 for the game then Online should be added which is a plus but i think to wait another 1-2 years for it is not worth it.

So what, PS3 is a ways away - it's not like they release Gran Turismo games every year.
I think we'll see some online add-on for it on the PS2 and that's it. What's the point in releasing another one for PS2? They can't do much more. Plus, that shit will get delayed until it's on the PS3 anyways. |

To put this discussion to an end...umm, Sony already said they have the new GT running on some early PS3 hardware. You will not see another GT entry for the PS2, all you will see is the online add-on for GT4.
