Default Man this guy sounds like an ass! (psp related)

PSP Article

I just can't figure this out. It sounds like to me that this guy is basically telling the consumer what they will buy. To me this is a big mistake. I personally will pass on the PSP until I know that its at least a decent piece of hardware. I'm not going to waste $200 on the damn thing if its going to have all these problems.

I know a few people here have one. Are you guys experiencing any of these problems that people keep having?

I'm asking because I already have $150 put down on the PSP at EBgames. And if it has all these problems, then I think I may take my money off of the pre order and wait till there is a more reliable model released.

"All these problems"? It's frigin .6% of production! Every item in the world ever made has had a number of defects. You can barely notice the square button being softer than the other buttons -- and after some use, all of the buttons will feel soft anyways.

I'm not just referring to that. What about the game ejecting. The screen problems. There are alot of reported problems. Do you guys have any of them?

Makes me laugh that they can even call this news.. shame on Gamespot! . PSfan, you’re probably right to be concerned... but out of 800,000 psp's sold, they have reported that 4,800 have been returned..

4,800 is nothing... the returns on the PS2 was far greater than that, and the PS2 launch was seen as a pretty much of a success across the world over.

but as production goes on the quality should get better, if there are any faults with it. But the brief encounter I had with a PSP.. is that its knocking on mr and mrs perfects door and asking if he can stay the night.

Do you realize how much pressure you have to put on the PSP for it to do that? *Faaar* more than I was willing to. And any LCD screen will have a burnt pixel or two. Mine, thankfully, doesn't.

In fact, I don't have any problems with mine. (Yet).

.6%?

Why is that even newsworthy? Media must be desperate to print anything with the letters "PSP" in it.

Sounds good to me. Ive never seen one. And you guys are the only people that own one that I know. After reading your comments. It definartely seems like another "Dre" situation. That was blown out of proportion so, i'll definately keep my money on my pre order.

I have dust under my screen and a stuck pixel. The pixel was fine for a few weeks, but now it has gone kaput.

Well, it is some shoddy quality. Can I live with it? Yes. Am I happy about it? No. It might "only" be .6% with broken buttons, but that number doesn't include the thousands of PSPs with dust in the screen and multiple faulty pixels.

Does it make it a bad system? No way. The games are a blast and it's an incredible machine. It can be poorly made and still be a good system. People seem do not be able to grasp that.

Not one person in here can honestly say that they feel the system is impressive from a durability and manufacturing standpoint. They can still get their butts in line for a pre-order though. You NEED one of these
