Wow, I've been hearing a lot of good stuff. I wasn't really that interested in the game when it was first announced, but this is making me real curious. The next time I'm at the mall I'll pick it up, the hype is getting to my brain. Hopefully I can get over the aim sensitivity and controls. :P

Guys I finished up today with the game. And let me tell you this, the second time through is a ****ing blast. I mean that literally, there is tons of ammo and you get to keep all the weapons you had at the end.

I'd hate tp say it, but this game has far surpassed Snake Eater for me. Its just that damn good.

Sorry bout that flare.

(spoilers)

The mercenaries mode is amazing. And Adas Mission is awesome. Its like and extension of the game.

You should find a way to mask those spoilers for people who don't wanna see 'em. Like, make it the same color as the background or something.

Anyway, I'm on my way to fight the El Giganto (or is it Giganta?), and I'm pretty excited. The village is damn freaky at night time, but I found myself actually staring at the particle effects on the flames from the torches...simply gorgeous.

Well, time to get back to playin'!

I picked up the game the other night, I put somewhere between 3 and 4 hours into it though [I paused when I had to help shovel some snow, so it inflated my playing time] so far. I just entered the castle when I last played this morning. Damn catapult killed me as I was cranking that thing to blow up the big door.

I'm enjoying the game so far, and the new stuff they have added to the series is making it best so far, but I must say the game seems to be slightly overrated. Not once have I felt 'scared' during the game, it feels moreso like an action game now, not that that's entirely a bad thing. The bosses so far and the tentacles that sprout out of their heads are pretty damn boss though.

Finally, someone else who has posted on this. Actually, quite a few posts since my last one. Anyway...

I've finally beaten the game (three days ago, actually), and I'm loving my second time through the game. Everything is just so much easier. It's great! For those who haven't beaten the game, you'll see why it gets so much easier your second time through.

Anyhoo -- the game does seem a little bit over-rated...but that's not so bad. I hate over-rated, hyped things, but RE isn't something that I would pass up. I'm an RE hardcore fan. Nevertheless, it got a little freaky for me when I got to the Island.

(Possible Enemy Spoilers?)

Those Regenerators scared the crap out of me every now and again.

I just got around to rent this game. I love it. I have some issues with the controls (has anyone figured out how to make the knife useful in combat yet? I hate the fact that you can't move with the knive drawn out) - and the well publicized "no strife" issue, but otherwise, the game is rocking my socks off. Everything problem I ever had with RE is no longer a problem. The ammo is plentiful, the controls work with the camera the game uses, there are no inane puzzles. I'm happy.

I just got around to the first boss, and boy was this intense or what? I've decided to stop playing it right away, even though I have a day left with the game. I'll definitely want to purchase it sooner or later.

I finished it a few days ago. Good game, slightly overrated though.
