The PSP has changed the way I look at consoles, currently I own a XBox, a DS, and a PSP I find myself sitting here playing the PSP more than the other consoles, I only have a copy of Ridge Racers at the moment with Lumines on it's way from Lik soon I hope, but Ridge Racers is so damn good, and the hardware it runs on is even better. It's kind of the perfect console for me. IMHO the talk on the internet about the quality of the PSP hardware is nothing but fanboy FUD mine turned up in absolutely perfect condition, infact it's the DS with the dead pixel
![]() Don't believe the negative hype, when you finally get your hands on a PSP you'll be converted, there is nothing out there like the PSP at all. The last time I got this kind of vibe from a console is when I imported a Sony Playstation from Japan and all my mates thought the SNES was the height of technology. Those were good times in the land of .au. |

Doesn't sound like one
...Anyhoo. PSP! I want one. And, just for the record, where the hell is all of this negative feedback? All I have seen for it are rave-reviews and good comments. Make that great comments. I saw a thing on Ridge Racers in my last issue of PSM, and damn... The graphics for a handheld device are to ****ing-die-for. I've never seen such power from a small system. The way the sound drivers for the system can make reverb when driving through a tunnel (not the coolest thing, but from a handheld?!) is badass. The slickness of the graphics, everything! No, this isn't fanboy-ism, just the honest-to-goodness truth.

i've heard nothing but good things on all of the forums i frequent on, except from nintendo fanboys who can't deal with change lol.
and i'll just argue one point..and thats about the battery life, nintendo fan boys seem to be stuck on this and i'll break it down for them. it gets 3.5-6 hours of playback on games. thats at FULL brightness and FULL volume, obviously if you turn them down it'll go longer. and since this system is geared towards the older crowd, we can handle carrying an extra battery. now if you aren't able to carry something as big as a pack of gum, then don't buy the psp, simple as that. |
