They only gave the game a 7.5

They said it had quite a few technical screw ups. Sucks, I was hoping it would be on par with Halo 2.

Still a 7.5 out of 10 is pretty good.

Here's where it gets sticky. The AI is terrible and the scripted combat isn't very exhilarating. But then it looks and sounds so good it's often possible to get lost in the war.

8.0 Lasting Appeal
Provided the technological deficiencies don't bother you, Killzone offers a solid multiplayer mode that happens to be plagued by the same problems as the singleplayer game.

7.5 OVERALL:
(out of 10 / not an average)

Ouch! that really hurts me...The game I was expected to beat Halo....Hahhh!

HALO still the king! Too bad for Killzone, now I'll wait for F.E.A.R, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Half-Life 2.

I still think it's a better game than Halo (from what I've played in the demo). Halo, while still quite fun, is extremely overrated. This game gives you the sense like you're actually in the war, which is very cool.

I could agree that Halo (the original atleast) was probably a bit overrated. I mean the multiplayer made Halo's realism look worse than Socom I & II.

LOL, you have got to be the only person ive seen to use the word "realism" when referring to a sci fi shooter.

As for the killzone demo, played it, thought it was ok. But its still not as good as 5 minutes of Halo. Killzone will be nothing more than mediocre. And after reading the review, it sounds like the developer should have spent a little more time working and less hyping.

I don't know about anyone else....But when I was being swarmed by the flood....my heart rate went up.....I felt like I was really being chased by massive amounts of killing beings.

Halo threw you into a larger than life scale of a war.

Halo 2 brings it to a more personal level seeing as how it takes place on earth.

Halo is the GOD of console FPS games. And it is a Half god of ALL FPS games....you know.....like Hercules or something.

Personally to me, Halo is the best ever. And Halo 2 will take its spot. In some ways, i'm not even interested in Half Life 2.
