Default Grand Theft Auto Advance - Anyone interested?

I'm sure by now a bunch of you have read the previews and seen the screens of this game, but I was wondering, what are your thoughts? I'm most likely going to pick it up, as I really enjoyed GTA2, and with this having the top down view as well, it looks like it will play similar to it. It's also pretty cool how the city in GTA:A is 3 times as large as Liberty City in GTA3, albeit with a lot less detail. Still, I think I'll find it fun to roam the streets to cause mayhem :P

So who else is interested in this game?

Well my friend gave me his GBA so I may ebay it. Sounds fun though. I had a lot of fun with the ones on PSone, not as much as the ones on PS2 though.

I was the same as voice... but to be honest, i dont think i can go back to top down GTA.. I played London and GTA2 the other night, I was curious... it didnt work for me, but thats me...

looks good enough tho.

shame, cause I saw a 3D GTA demo on the GBA about a year ago, and it looked great considering it was a GBA.

Not interested in the least. I always despised the 2D GTA's control scheme, and it looks like it will have the same. Bleh.

Do you mean the whole rotating and holding a button to run control scheme? If so, you have nothing to worry about. If you push up, you'll go up; push down-left and you'll go diagonally down-left. Although this limits the directions you can travel, I think it will be better for aiming and such.

personally I dont see it that way..

its like when you used to drink that crap blue fizzy drink, which was really nice at the time, but now you drink Pepsi... and its like going back to it.

I didnt have a problem with it being top down, but in Vice City.. you are Tommy, he has a personality, but with GTA,GTA:Lon and GTA2 ..tho fantastic at the time, I dont think I could go back to blue fizzy pop.

but I will download it on my cart, and if its cool.. i'll buy it, if not.. glad I didnt spend £30.

Like going from Coke Cola to Rola Cola (*nod* to Peter Kay)

I like the Micromachines style controls where up is forward which ever direction you're heading though this could because I was better at it than family and friends.

Unless it truly is a retro game like Gravitation or pong, older games don't really hold that much of an interest for me anymore. I know a lot of you still like playing the old Mario and Sonic titles but I can't get into them. Hell, I can't even bear to play GT1 or 2 anymore because it's such a step down from what I'm used to

Because of the obvious 6 year old plus quality of titles I won't be buying any Nintendo handheld. If money was no object I'd get a PSP simply because it's capabilities are inline with what I use now.

I'm with you, Gabe.

I dug out the old NES this past weekend. I was babysitting my 4-year-old nephew, so I decided to try him out on Duck Hunt. (he did alright).

After he left, I played for a bit, then I played some Hogan's Alley. Then I played Top Gun.

I used to LOVE those games. Now they're basically lame.

Too hard to go back once you've experience nicer and newer...
