Default Anyone pick up Katamari Damacy?

This is one fun arcade game. And by arcade game, I mean it in its crudest sense. You have no other goal than to amass balls of dirt, and the bigger they are the more you score points. That's it.

Anything of a size comparable to your ball sticks to it, and the ball physics are pretty good. Example, if a pen is stuck on it, the ball will follow an elliptical trajectory instead of a circle trajectory (if you catch my drift).

Pointless? Yes. A whole lot of fun? Yeah. I especially enjoy sticking living things on my Katamari and dumping them in space.

This game is absolutely demented. I just finished the last level with a 795 meter katamari. I haven't laughed so much while playing a game by myself, in well... ever. This game is like, the anti-sim city we've all been waiting for 10 years.

I just picked it up last night and played it for awhile this morning. I just finished making the 5th star. The game is amazing. Only the Japanese could think of something so simple and so much fun. Not to mention the music is great.

I love the English track. "Let's roll up to be... A secret star in the sky!"

Aww, I was going to make a thread about this game. Oh well. I didn't see this game in GameStop or FuncoLand, so I picked up DDR Extreme instead. But I want KD though; looks addictive, and I love a game with good music. I saw the Japanese commercial for it. Didn't have to understand the dialogue to find it funny.

love the game. love the soundtrack. though i am sad they cut down on the "story" from the japanese version. not that it made sense anyway.
