Final Fantasy VII is by far the greatest rpg I've ever played. I loved the materia system. It gave you alot of freedom in customizing which spells and actions your characters have. I think I might play my copy again...

Without FFVII I would have never gotten into RPG's. So I'd like to thank squaresoft for producing such fantastic games.

Yeah, thanks to FFVII, RPGs are no longer a niche. I should have the game finished by today.

I think I replay FF VII and FF Tactics at least once a year, both were absolutely great, I just wish they'd make another tactics.
They both had so much hidden stuff, the added cut in the snow in VII took me for ever to find.

I started playing VII again a couple of weeks ago, but then got to busy and had to quit. *sigh*. Why can't a man just play through a videogame these days?

That line is quality. :rollin:

I like different elements from the different FF games. For instance, being able to swap characters mid battle is good in FF10, having 4 characters in FF9, the materia of FF7 but also having abilities on your weapons in FF10.

I wasn't too fond of that feature myself, it made fights so bland. "Oh look, it's a blob, I'll bring in Lulu and use magic", "Here's an armoured foe, Auron's turn (or Kimahri, of course)", "A flying enemy? Time to bring in Wakka". There was no need to have a well-balanced squad, because everyone would always be good at taking out certain enemies, and it also meant you would see the same enemy types through the whole damn game.
So much of Final Fantasy X seemed designed to make everything nice and easy, and it just helped the game seem so flat and pointless.
