Ever Since i heard about everquest 2 coming out, i've been very excited at the opportunity to play it. of course, i recently discovered that EQ2 isn't going to be a type of sequel and the old everquest would get no service (as i had previously thought), and that the old everquest would still be kept up and updated. I was just wondering if Sony was in fact going to keep the old EverQuest up to date with new expansions and such or will it slowly fade away and let EQ2 take over?

No idea, man, i got a new pc a week ago today and am back at EQ for now. Been fun pretty much, i like the fact that some of the older zones i enjoyed arent so over run with people. If the price of playing EQ2 is much more than EQ i would probably pass. But no doubt that many will leave EQ for EQ2...

only reason i would leave EQ1 is if they were gonna just let it die while EQ2 got all the attention. else i wouldn't give up 87days and 18 hours worth of work.
