I did it, i got my money back too.

The bitch even opened the box to check if everything was there, and it was, including my dirty ass broken PS2 with the new sticker on the back of it.

She scaned it, gave me my 200 bucks and i was on my way, free damn PS2, the way it should be.

And since this is a brand brand new console, whast the best modchip for it.

Is there a reason you decided to perpetuate the rising costs of console hardware and theft prevention, etc, etc? Did you have repeated problems with your PS2? I'm only asking because I don’t know the whole story.

This is my guess as to what's going on, ok. Correct me if I'm wrong, which I’m sure I am.

You played the hell out of your PS2. You occasionally got angry slamming down controllers and generally being aggressive with the console. You never cleaned it out since you believed it's the all-powerful never get dirty console. It stopped working or you dropped it, etc, etc. You believe that since you paid 300 for the thing that it should have a 20-year life span and should work even though the vents are growing dust fur. IS this all way off base? I just don't see how any one can basically justify ripping of the store like that. You might as well have robbed the place or stuck a PS2 in your jacket and ran out.

Did you utilize the warranty on your old PS2? Did you attempt to get it repaired? Please enlighten me.

I didnt play thi shit outta my PS2, its a launcs release.

I did clean it, every not and then.

DRE started poping up and then the lazer died.

One PS2 aint gonna raise shit

LEAD's is a launch release, and it has never had a problem.

Cleaning it 'every now and then' isn't very specific.

You never answered his question about warrantying your system.

Yes it will, because thousands of people use that same retarded logic, and the collective increase is obvious.

Only 90 days of warranty for launch day consoles.

v1 consoles had tons of problems from cheap lasers to controller ports and powersuppies that would just fizzle out almost magically.

Although I don't agree with the method taken, it's much less hassle than trying to get Sony to honor an out of date warranty on a console made with inferior parts.

I have a SONY Vaio that got a DVD-RW and a DVD Rom drives installed on it. I succeeded in making the copy and and it din't work on my PS2. The PS2 write a message : please insert a playstation or ps2 disc.

Please can you tell me what to do Ryan, if you know I mean.

Protosniper, the point is that he ripped off the RETAILER. Why should they eat the cost of that PS2 because some launch PS2 had problems and McF1 is a crook?

Stanely, since I don't mod my systems, and never will, because despite all the lame "I only do it to back up my games" arguments, modding consoles is done pretty much for the sole purpose of pirating software. Therefore, since I do not know anything about chipping your PS2, I can't help you. Even if I were, for some reason, the most knowledgeable person on the planet on the topic of console modification, I still would have nothing to say. Personally, if I had my way, every person that pirates games would be in jail, getting a whole new insight into the human sex drive.

You can save all the heated replies and sanctimonious bullshit, because I've heard it before and stopped listening ages ago.
