I'm picking it up in 2 hours. But I've never owned MGS2 before, and the last time I played it was at christmas 2k1. So yeah, it'll be worth my money. But that's only me.

Hey guess what...I've never had sex, but I can tell you, it's not worth it.**
**BLATANT ****ING SARCASM** If you're a fan of the MGS series, and loved MGS2, go out and buy Substance. It's worth your penny. Don't listen to Dumb Shirt, over there. |

I'd like to buy the game but I have several other games I need to purchase. I already have MGS2 and haven't beaten it yet so I'm unsure about buying Substance. I did play the Xbox version though.
I did like the review of MGS2 Subsatnce here.:ahoy:

While I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, Ninja and Raiden are one in the same. Their controls and movements are identical. It's a mere exterior texture swap, save for that Ninja has a nick.
Still cool, though, because you have the Katana. ![]() |

It's the thought that counts i guess. And the katana whips ass. I kinda figured they would be similar.

Arnold, that's not quite what I said. I said that the only difference between Raiden and Ninja Raiden is a palette swap and the way he kicks. As Raiden you do a full butterfly kick, where as Ninja Raiden you do a slow, shitty thrust kick.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback on the review, and if you liked MGS2 at all, then it's worth your $40. You'll easily spend 30 hours on this game, if not more, and if you thought the first VR Missions game was cool, then you'll be blown away by Substance. Also, EB is doing one of those deals where you can trade in 2 games to get Substance free. I'm sure Arnold has all the 411 on that, so take your now obsolete copy of MGS2 and trade it in for Substance. |
