Default I could...

Ask this in the Help forum, but I need it answered fast, so I'll put it here.

My friend just got a PS2, and borrowed one of my DVDs. Unfortunately, her little brothers friend typed in a password and has somehow forgotten what it was. So anyways, she can't watch anything on it, and we don't know how to change the password. Does anyone know how to fix this?

that's a million dollar question....

I don't have an answer really apart from the obvious.

have you tried pressing XXXX or 0000 ? I always keep it simple, but then you cant really ask a child to do that as its probably just button bashing.

I have seen this topic come up from time to time on GameFAQs, if you don't get an answer here... go there, and go to the PS2 forum, you are bound to get an answer fairly soon. as its browsed by thousands of people... someone somewhere has done the same thing.

the only problem with Gamefaqs is the amount of wankers that post there, but usually only on specialised subjects.

Press the SELECT button and enter the 4-digit number "7444" whenever the Parental Control display asks you for your password. The old password is deleted.
You will then be prompted to enter a new password, enter whatever number you want, something like 0000, or a number that is easy to remember. If you wish to turn it off, just set it to off and forget about passwords.

IF your under age and going to watch, "XXX Monkey VS Midget MAN", movies I'm not at fault!

If you would like i can tell you how to disable the parental control all together. I can post it later if you want the info.
