Plain and simple. Forget the gamecube and xbox arguments. The PS2 is the king. No need to argue, thats the way it be!!!

It's tough to argue anything but.

1.) PS2 dominates in consoles sold in the US, EURO, and JAP.
2.) PS2 games tally more sales in the US, EURO, and JAP.
3.) PS2 is backward compatible making the game library more vast than other next-gen consoles.
4.) PS2 titles racked up the following at the 2002 AIAS: Console Action Adventure Game of the Year - Grand Theft Auto Vice City, Console Platform Action Adventure Game of the Year - Ratchet & Clank, Console Sports Game of the Year - Madden NFL 2003, Console Racing Game of the Year - Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, Console Fighting Game of the Year - Tekken 4, Outstanding Achievement in Animation - Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, and Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction - Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus.
5.) PS2 is releases more titles and more varied titles per month than any other console.

Those are just five cut and dried facts why PS2 is the best system out of the 3 next-gen systems.

I agree that PS2 is the best. I don't think it's as great as Playstation but it will be better pretty soon. I own all consoles and I love my PS2 more than anything. There are just too many games I like for it.

Talking about systems that are avalible now i would have to say PS2 is best but if you consider systems on the way out (PS3 and XBox2) PS3 will own everything ever made and then some.

you cant say for sure that ps3 will be the best.for all you know it could flop.right now i agree though,the ps2 is the best.Macho Man-im curios to know why you say the ps2 is not the best system.which do you think is the best?
