Xbox games >>>>>>>>>>>>>> GameCube games. If you want me to back my statement up, I'll do it with great pleasure.*

Snake, this isn't exactly a challenge (even though I do prefer 'Cube to both X-Box and PS2), but I would like to hear what titles you recommend for the 'Box. I haven't exactly bought many games since I got the system so any suggestions will be appreciated.

Max Payne, Splinter Cell, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Jet Set Radio Future (very underrated I like it), of course Halo, Sega GT (unless you have GT3), Indiana Jones and the Emporer's Tomb (loved the demo). Ghost Recon

Some notable releases to look forward to:

Mafia
Fable
Midnight Club 2
Doom 3
Men of Valor: Vietnam
Deus Ex: Invisible War
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Backyard Wrestling
Brute Force
Gladius
Kameo: Elements of Power (Rare's first Xbox game)
Starcraft: Ghost
Tao Feng: Fist of the Lotus (From one of the two original creators of Mortal Kombat)

Snake was that your 'Xbox games >>>>>>>>>>>>>> GameCube games' arguement? I've played most of those games and few compare to anything on 'Cube, or were any good at all. Admittedly I don't like racing games so that takes quite a few off of your list but the rest didn't seem that impressive. What type of game is Gun Valkyrie? That's the only one I don't recognise.

Sweet Tooth's got some cool impending games on his list, Fable and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic in particular, and Starcraft: Ghost is obviously going to rock because it's a Blizzard game, but it's on all three consoles isn't it? I got a demo of the Indiana Jones game today, haven't played it yet though.

Though the controller doesn't compare to PC I think I'm going to have to get Doom 3 on 'Box, my PC just won't like it

Personally I do like my X-Box, but I must say Snake that your list would have put me off a 'Box had you used it to try and sell the console to me. Then again I seem to live in my own skewed-perspective world when it comes to video games nowadays..

Are you kidding? What games on the GameCube can even compare to that? There's a bunch of games I didn't mention because I had never played them, though they managed to get some pretty good reviews, like Battle Engine Aquila and a few others. Let me see, the only games I can recommend for the GC are:

Super Smash Bros. Melee
Star Wars: RS
Metroid Prime
Sonic Mega Collection
Zelda: OOT re-release
Zelda: TWW
Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2

...

I've said it before, SMS was piss poor, Star Fox was a travesty, and Eternal Darkness plumetted after the first half. Don't even get me started on the Resident Evil games. BLEGH!!

Now I'd agree with most games on that GC list, though of course I'm still waiting for Metroid Prime and Zelda over here. I haven't played Eternal Darkness and I haven't been a fan of Resident Evil since the first one, I haven't been too impressed with the Star Fox game so far but I loved Super Mario Sunshine. Pikmin was cool, but far too short.

The only games I rate on your X-Box list are Halo (which should have been better) and the excellent Splinter Cell (which is now coming to other systems anyway).

That makes it one decent game that's only on X-Box, compared to at least half a dozen 'Cube titles that I've enjoyed. That doesn't mean I don't like X-Box though, especially with companies like Bioware and Lionhead developing titles unique to the system. I still prefer 'Cube at the moment though.

Max Payne is also good and you HAVE to play Panzer Dragoon Orta. I'm not bashing GC, I'm just not that impartial to Xbox. It's a good system.

You make no mention of Panzer Dragoon Orta? No mention of Jet Set Radio Future? Moto GP? Project Gotham Racing? Come on, now. If you really want to be picky, the Xbox's lineup still beats the GC's.
