Will the Hard Drive also be a memory card?

I thought you would be able to save directly to the hard drive. But when I as on the playstation.com board, someone there claims you will need a memory card also. And you will have to transfer from the memory card to the hard drive to save on it.

IMO, I think it will act as a big memory card.

Thats how the beta hdd worked for me. It isn't acually a memory card but you can transfer the files back and forth.

That's still cool....that way you don't need more than one memory card....which reminds me...I gotta delete the True Crime data.....

It's to your ps2 memory card what your ps2 memory card is to your ps1 memory card. Pretty underwhelming if you ask me.

My understanding was the you could download stuff from the internet on it such as new characters and things.....

Yes, but the fact that you can't use it as a simple memory card baffles me... I'm aware it's not the same hardware configuration, but I figured they would've done something to go around that.
