I think this is better than the NGage by a tenfold. Why? Because there will be inevitable home-user development (aka emulation), and because when it miserably fails, at least you'll still have something workable (this as a PDA doesn't seem too shabby, the NGage as a phone... ).

I don't know...it's a bit pricey....299.99 for 32 mb version.

but it is going to be getting sega genesis classics and commodore 64 classics....plus doom 2 wireless multiplayer deathmatch sounds very promising....

and a new duke nukem game also....

It's quite an interesting unit. I'm not sure how well it'll hold up against the GBA SP, it hasn't had that much media coverage AT ALL. It will probably end up being another Neo Geo, but as Sunburnman has suggested, at least when the gaming aspect of it dies out, you can still use it as a PDA.

Same here...I just thought I would see what everyone thought about this.

To me though, it seems like sony will have the highest ability to get licenses from companies for games....and final fantasy games....with playstation quality graphics on a handheld....I am sl looking forward to that.

I have to say, though, that I'm also looking forward to what Nintendo will produce against the PSP. If history repeats itself, it should be a cartridge system with lacking VRAM.

Or a system with ultra-tiny discs that fit perfectly in the hands of the people that the games themselves were designed for.
