Yo! just want to ask everyone, what good ninja or samurai games can you suggest for playstation 1. Aside from tenchu and bushido blade . Thankz guys!

if you like martial arts games, I can totally reccoment 'Shaolin' or in the stats its called 'lord of the fist'... very good if you are into martial arts, as it was obvious that it was made by someone who knew something about them.

apart from thatI cant personally think of a good game apart from Tenchu1 (T2 was ok....) and BB and BB2

if you can pick up a 2nd hand PS2... Tenchu3 and kengo1 and kengo2 (BB3,4) plus way of the Samurai are damn fine games...

some people here may not agree... but I like my fightings games to be a lil more on the real side, these games are.

I dont know you, but by your post, I think you will love these games.

Ow! Yah! I think tenchu 3, way of the samurai is great but I can't afford to buy PS2. I think it will take a couple of years for me to buy PS2 player. Is there a way to convert a PS2 game to PS1? or is there another game you could suggest? Thank you very much for your replies!

Samurai Showdown 3 is on PS1...that's one of the best neo geo fighting games EVER....it's a little hard to find it, but it's worth searching for.

actually, if you can get your hands on a Spectrum 128k or a C64... or an amiga or Atari ST.....Last Ninja series are superb....

probably the 2nd best ninja games to date (imo)..

I think i'll try samurai showdown 3. Is there any other suggestion on action/story ninja/samurai game? I am not very much a fan of fighting games like bushido blade but I like action/story games very much. I like tenchu 2 and soul of the samurai. Is there any other games that is like tenchu and soul of the samurai? thankz!

well, like i was saying, lord of the fist (shaolin.. in the UK) is like an RPG, you are a lil kid (boy or girl.. you choose) and you have to go from town to town learning their martial arts.. like Tai Chi and other types of Kung Fu.. you eat and grow strong, you actually grow in to a teenager then in to a man.. or woman, you have to watch your diet as "you should always leave the table a lil hungry"....


trust me, if you like detailed martial arts games, it doesn't get better than this. though its PS1 so you should forgive certain graphical problems....

anyway, Samurai showdown is 2D, its not your BB's or your Tenchu.. but saying that 2D fighting again doesn't get much better on PS1.

to be honest, the Bushido blade series moved to PS2 with kengo 1/2.. so once you have played BB 1/2 thats your lot. same with Tenchu.. nothing has really come close imo.

you should try SS, I think you will like it, damn fine fighter.. but if you ever see 'Shaolin' in the shops.. pick it up, not many people got on with it as it wasn't an RPG or a out and out fighter like Tekken.. (better imo as you could fight up to three people at once, based on real martial arts.. more so than your Tekkens and VF's ).

I realise that Wu Tang: Taste the Pain was a four way fighter, and was based on Thrill Kill.. but I didn't think it was nearly as good as Thrill Kill, and should of probably stayed forgotten.


or go and buy Soul Edge (soul Blade here in good ol blighty)....... its the best arcade beat em up on the PS1, different to Tekken 3.. faster and with weapons. you will love Taki and Mitsurugi (ninja and samurai)....

Thank you so much dude! I am not a big fan of Martial arts but I am a great lover of sword arts, ninjas and samurais! (I love the movie Kenshin or samurai x) Although I am a little cold on chinese martial arts or Kung fu or karate, I am obsessed on samurai and ninjas and the KATANA and BUshido-the code of honor and any other which is related to samurai. I'll try your suggestions. Thank you sooooooo much! Ow and I like hitten mitsurugi (kenshin sword style)
