Why the ROTK ps2 game before the movie?

Why is ea brigning Return of the King out before the movie?
i'd think it wouldn't make as much before the movie rather than say, like the next week or something.
It still is going to be a ****ing sweet game though

The Two Towers game came out a while before the movie too, didn't it? I remember I stopped playing when it started showing the TT clips because I didn't want to see too much of the movie before it was released.

Considering all the anticipation surrounding the next movie I'd imagine quite a few people would be itching to see a few more clips from the film (assuming this game has any).

Yes, TTT was released before the movie last year. And yes, ROTK does have video clips in this years version, I wonder if they have the same kind of transitions found in last years game - most likely. This game is going to Pwn, it's probably my most highly anticipated game of this fall.

I'm wondering if this game is going to have the same "Perfect Rental" sticker that TTT had. I thought TTT was great, but really, it was nothing more than a rental.

ROTK is a much longer game. More depth. Tons of secret shit. And the online mode BWNZ!
