I have my first gen ps2 still. A few problems, like wats been said. But an Eye cleaners usually fixes it. Still a bit slower than usual

it depends how ong you have had your ps2 because there has been nothing wrong with my ps2 because i have only had it since this christmas and my mates ps2 broke but he had it since the christmas before

Whatever you do, DON'T do a potentimeter adjustment. I ruined my PS2 laser trying to adjust the POT and had to get a new console.
Eye glass cleaner works really well to clean the lens of the laser. |

my mate went on the web and looked for people who fixed ps2s and he went too yahoo and typed in ps2 fixers
