im only bitter because even today my mate who played the DC SC1 every day at work for three years (because bastard Sega gave DELL a Dreamcast).. KICKS MY ARSE..

doesnt matter who I use... he becomes a one trick pony when we play... but I usually learn to stop being so stupid and change my tactics.. at which point he then goes home.. lol

personally, if you can use Voldo to his full potential, you have the game made! but I dont know anyone who can claim such a feat.

but anyway, good old Mitsurugi and Taki for me.

I recently unlocked Assassin and Berserker and Lizard man in the UK version, I think that Assassin would be a contender and I think that Berserker could kick Astaroths arse... but it depends whos playing.

best way to tell is put the game on insane level and put them in a cpu battle with each other, and just sit back and watch!

i agreee with you and if you know all of voldo's moves you can win but his moves are awkward because of his style, but the same could be said with cervantes and if you could master it with him.
you say you unlocked berserker and assassin on the uk version, which i have got, but I don't know how to unlock them so can you tell me how you unlocked them?

go through the weapons master mode and you unlock them in certain dungeons.

After a long play last night, I have discovered that i am INSANE DEADLY with Nightmare.

my favorite character has changed.

Nightmare is the MAN. Three hits...and they DIE.....and it's one fluid combo.

Nightmare is so badass.

he's right, go through the dungeon and you cant fail to unlock it all. once you have everything, you get lizardman..

so don't panic if you have everything (you think) and you still don't have him, as there is probably one more sword or piece of clothing you haven't got yet.

another mate of mine has developed the knack with Nightmare where he slams down his sword then hoiks it up... and there aint a thing you can do about it, apart from pick yourself up and get hit again....

Nightmare is cool, but I prefer to play as Siegfried ...skin that is. SC1 outfit was the best.. when you completed the game and you got nightmare, his armour was made out of lil blooded bones... nice!

I play as Nightmare in his 3rd costume...and I of course use the Soul Edge (complete)

and the one I do, he slams his sword down, and that stalls them...then you hit < < A and he jumps up in the air and slams his sword down...then you hit > > A, and he does a front flip and kicks you then slams his sword down again...

then they DIE.

I played as Misturugi tonight alot too..

and my favorite combo of his is > > A, then < < B (hold B), then hit B again for the unsheathing attack...then < K A.......and I play in his 3rd costume, cause it is SO OLD SCHOOL of them to have him with the straw in his mouth...

I was thinking about things too, and I really would've liked to have seen AURON be the special PS2 character rather than having Yoshimitsu in the game.

Auron (from FFX) fits SO WELL...he would be such a BADASS....

and i am NOT HAPPY with what they did to YOSH at ALL....

I use the third from last sword, as its also old skool, nothing too fancy, just an amazing Kantana... just like in Kill Bill.. (lol).

i take to the stage, and three hits later im ready for the next foe.... I think Mitsurugi is amazing.

I hope SC3 is online.....

I think the sword you are using is the masamune....that's the one I use...

and for me, he's not smoking....it's STRAW.

I haven't checked the UK version, but in the Japanese version Mitsurugi's ciggy......there's a lil red end and there's a slight haze of smoke....

he's smoking it. they might of taken that bit out for the west, but I have stared long and hard at the Japanese version with mates, and we have all seen it.
im not mad.. I swear it, but like Voldos cod-piece in the Dreamie's SC1 it was taken out for the UK... or Lei Long's nunchuckas was a three section flail in the UK's Soul Blade... lots of things do change.

Oh, I should've explained more. He is smoking in the US version, it has the little red ember and smoke trails.....

But I am an ex-smoker...so he's not smoking, he's chewing on some straw....
