price cuts are funny things.
whereas Sony have finally cut the price, its only to please its customers and in the face of competition ... it has no other choice. but the GC and Xbox shouldn't be making these choices just yet, they're not even in profit yet. So even though the GC is an amazing £80 now, and the SP is more expensive ... you cant help thinking that they are somehow making the money back.. either with cheaper parts to their console or in the software somehow. Same goes with the Xbox, but that's not really the issue this year as M$ are not dropping the price again, just doing some mad bundle of games with its box. personally I would say buy a GC, especially if you do own a PC. If you don't flip a coin.

I agree. If you own a decent PC gaming, the Xbox is mostly covered (*mostly, since there are still some nice exclusives on its way*), but GC is clearly advantageous if you do have a PC. If not, like myself, well dillon's right. Flip a coint.
That's almost what I did. Though in retrospective I don't regret getting an Xbox. There are multiple games that I can't play on PC that I played on Xbox, and the upcoming console exclusives are more appealing to me than the GC's (Ninja Gaiden, Fable, Jade Empire, Psychonauts to name some at the top of my head). However, GC games may appeal to you more. That's for you to determine that. |

If you like Star Wars games get a GC.
Most X-Box games have an equal on the PS2 so I don't think it's really worth buying.

Tough choice. I would say the GC has some of my favorite games, but Xbox is the better system overall. There's many more good games on Xbox compared to GC.
