Im looking foward to Jak 2 but some reviewers gave it bad reviews. like OPM said it was too hard and gave it a three out five or something.

Someone who says the game is not good cause it's too hard...is stupid.

The original Jak game is one of those that I'm planning to pick up now that it should be quite cheap, and if I like it then I'll be able to pick up Jak 2 straight after.

I actually think it's a valid criticism if a game is too hard. If a game is so difficult that people find themselves repeatedly trying to get past the same bit over and over then it becomes frustrating and stops people from wanting to play. That's something that has to be taken into account when you are reviewing a game, because if it is significantly harder than most games then it will appeal to less people.

No way Macho....
Just because a game is difficult does not make it a bad game. I think a game that is tough to beat is a better game than those that are easy. People today are so damn lazy that anything that requires more than a minimal effort gets lost in the shuffle. Why do you think strategy guides and cheats are used so much today? Thats how pathetic we've become. I'll agree that there are some tough games that suck ass (No One Lives Forever on PS2 - Ryan will agree with me here ) but I think that if a game is able to present good graphics, sound, and gameplay - it is a good game no matter how hard it is. Plus, I LOVE the challenge of beating a hard game. It feels so good once you finally do it.So, is Jak II a good game in regards to graphics, sound, and gameplay? Im thinking abuot getting the first one then the second. GAME ON

Jak II does rule. Played a demo but haven't bought it yet, but plan to get it a week. Still like R&C best but Jak II is one of the best.

I would include difficulty under the gameplay category anyway, and it DOES affect how good a game is. If a game is so easy that you never find yourself tested or failing then it spoils it, and if you find a game so difficult that you keep failing to do the same point over and over then that also spoils it. There's a difference between a game being challenging and a game being frustratingly difficult.
