The whole "Partiots" thing is absolutley crazy. I actually believe there is some truth to the governmental theory/story that Hideo Kojima has written here. Think about it, do you think that George DubUUYa Bush controls every aspect of the free world? I think there just might be a "wise men bureau". A commitee that is hidden from public to make all the main decisons of a country is logical, and have the president just be a media-toy. Damn, freaky stuff.

The entire plot of MGS2 was set up by the Patriots until the very end andwith Snake showing up. "Ignore Snake. He was never part of the simulation... errrr. opperation". Snake showing up and Liquid taking the Metal Gear Ray were the two things not set up by the Partriots. That is what I got out of it for the most part.

Snake is not a traditional terrorist. Good connection between Outer Heaver being "for the good of the world" and the same with Snake and Anthropy anti-metalgear operations, I never thought of that. I think that is as deep as the "snake turning bad" will go, however. Snake carries the recessive genes from Big Boss, and ultimately, the twisted side of Big Boss became dominant, hence why Liquid is messed up. Snake got the heroic, good, recessive genes (which is why he has a conscious and has feelings for Meryl. The true "ultimate" soldier would not have these.)

Wow, I can't believe I'm baising my view on government and life on a video game. Oh well, at least I'm with friends.

Actually, there is a "wise men bureu", if u can even call 'em wise It's called Congress. Bush doesn't run the whole free world, congress is there to pass laws and what not, so they sort of run the free world, if u want to put it that way.

Anyway, Snake won't turn evil, at least i hope not.

like Voice touched on... how do we know Snake isn't working for the evil people..... ? and that when he changes sides he isn't working for the good?

war is a two sided coin. there is always good and evil on both sides... Yin/Yang its the way life works....

so I reckon Snake could turn... but to the light or to the dark?

It's also possible that Snake is evil and always has been. The evil that we've been fighting in the game might actually be good.

well...are the patriots a good thing or a bad thing? Solidus and liquid want to get rid of them but that would create a massive power vacuum with some other people trying to fill in their space. What exactly does snake want? Why is the list of patriots so important to him? why doesnt he want the patriots dead?
