well, Ive just read in two different places that IBM have signed a deal with Microsoft to help make the chips for the Xbox2...

no reason why it shouldn't be, but usually these companies stay separate when on important projects like this.. But I know that IBM are in trouble, and that if the Cell didn't work out, that it would probably pull IBM under...

or maybe not, especially if they have just signed a deal with Microsoft.. Hmmmm


personally, I think its probably a true rumour.... if you get my drift.

I wonder what Sony make of it, and Toshiba for that matter, as this could possibly compromise the whole deal. and as (im sure) Sony have full rights over the Cell, Toshiba may loose out ...but thats probably worst case scenario
