FFXI:Beta Update

Well beta for ffxi is now coming to and end(October 14th) and as most of you know I am a tester. I have spend nearly all my spare time playing this game since the day I got it and I have decided to quit now, for the most part. I will get on the 13th and say goodbye to all my buddies and play for 1 last time till retail comes out. It is a great game and I can't wait till it comes out for ps2 in march. As soon as the 14th hits I will pack up my beta and send it off and then post all my screens here. Now that beta is over I'll be hanging around here alot more.

I havnt played it in months. I played for like 50 hours then stopped. Its just like every other MMORPG. Push A to attack let your guy swing away. You have some magic and special moves/powers. You lvl up, blah blah blah.

Nothing ground breaking. I just liked the ambience of Final Fantasy in an MMORPG.

It gets a lot better once you hit lvl 18.

the retail version of FINAL FANTASY XI and an HDD with additional
gaming content when you return the beta HDD you are currently using.
In order to receive the retail version of FINAL FANTASY XI and the HDD
prior to or on the release date of the game, we require that you return
the beta HDD by OCTOBER 28, 2003. Please note that we are aiming to
ship items one week prior to FINAL FANTASY XI's release date.
Information related to shipping or tracking of items will not be
available until then.

I dunno, it just looks too similar to EQ. I guess that's what is so unappealing about it.
