IGN Reports That Nintendos Sales Have quadrupled!

This is great news, hopefully people will start getting the cubes sales up so companies will quit cancelling games.

They cancel games for the GC, not GBA. The GameBoy market is 90% of Nintendo's profit. Though, I seriously feel that Sony will hurt Nintendo with the PSP.

It's a rather funny and exciting thought. Almost feels like an RPG game. :P

I feel that when Nintendo thanked Sony for the year and a bit warning about the PSP.. they wernt taking the piss.

even tho the PSP isnt setting out to destroy and take over the market, but with the hardware suggested, its going to be hard for the current GBA to hold ground.

GBA2 will be fine, im sure.. but I agree.. the PSP will probably take control of the Nintendo flavoured hand held market.

as for the Nintendo sales going up.. I do believe they've stabilised again. the GC did out sell the PS2 last month, and for two whole weeks it was number one.. I think that might of had something to do with F-zero and some other game that everyone was waiting for in Japan.

I like Nintendo, and hope they do well.. but there's over 60 million PS2's out there.. for every British person there is a PS2.. now that's mad!

Whoah, whoah. The GC did not outsell the PS2 last month. It outsold it by a few dozen units because a huge RPG came out for it - but that only lasted for a week, not a month. The following week, GC went back to its spot and lost all the steam it had.

Any good reason to buy a gamecube? I got a spare $100. I'd have to trade in a couple of my old ps2 games though... Would it be worth it?

I wouldn't buy one. There pretty much suck. I just want one to play Viewtiful Joe. I may just go to Rentway and get one for a week and rent VJ. There are a few interesting games coming. But nothing like the PS2.

cause the main reason I got a GC was for RS2.. and im happy I did. plus its a cute lil thing.

yeah, like I say.. RS2 was cool... and RS3 looks good too...

other good games I have are.. Pikmin, but I got really annoyed very fast with it, nice game though. Luigi's mansion.. polished to ****, shame about the end boss.. far too random, couldnt be arsed.

um... zelda?

maybe you should start saving for the PS3?
