I would buy one over the Xbox.. only cause it looks nicer.

the games arent flowing, but you do get quality when Nintendo puts their mind to it...

i already have a gamecube and i really,really llike it.. as for psp it better have a killer price like $129.99 if its over $150 it will be hard to beat nintendo...but i like the psp and if priced right i will get one

I highly doubt it'll be over $150. Isn't that close to what a brand new PS2 is selling for right now? They'll be more competetive with the price, something comparable to the GBA SP, but with all those features they're boasting about, and all this amazing technology crammed into this thing, it's going to be hard to keep the price down (although Sony is very effective in building little techno toys for cheap prices!

well, if you want one.. and you want a PAL version.. this Xmas the price will be £79.99....!!!

they will be giving them away free with chewing gum soon... lol

though, saying that the new 50003 model of PS2 has hit the shops in the UK.. IR, new DVD drivers.... v.quiet fan.... and that's now only £139.99.
its 149.99 for the silver one, but you do get an extra controller, so its worth it.

not that i would buy a silver one..

i doubt if the psp will take over like so many on the web suggest. the simplicity of the gb and gba (playing games) is by far its greatest contribution to its succes.
psp will have so many features the casual consumer might be confused by it imo. i dont see 9 year old kids or their grandma's buying for them getting over-exited by it realy.
of course the market has evolved, the single purpose of the gba has had its best time but on the other hand it is the sole reason of the big N's succes for over the past years and not for no reason either.
but then again seeing that about 70% of the psx owners are generaly in their mid-30's that must be the target group sony is aiming for.

Multimedia analysts are allready criticising sony for lack of focus according to Edge and the same can be said for the psps imho. dont forget that publishers are unwilling to take risks these days and the sole reason for any console/handheld is its software and in the case of the psp cross-platfrom functionality. fek, its not even known what market the psp will be targeting hehe.

look at the specifications of the thing, clearly this will not be a gaming device perse, most likely it will be for the more specialist user and might end up in the corner of the "hardcore" user thus leaving out the casual user, and thats where the real money is

anyway, my 2 cents , nice forum btw

its a good point....

I think long term, the GBA will be a stable force... but it will be very interesting as the closest to competition that the GB/GBA has ever had is the NGP and the Wonderswan... (may they rest in peace..sniff sniff).

so im looking forward to the GBA having to earn its customers...
