FFVII - an official sequel, for XBOX AND PS2...

According to translators, this is a DVD movie sequel of FFVII. The screens only show Cloud and Sephiroth. Unlike FFX-2, however, the characters haven't been butchered, and reduced to something they weren't in the prequel, at least not by the way they are dressing. Here's to hoping that Aeris isn't revived to destroy whatever integrity in the storyline this sequel could potentially have (though I'm not keeping my hopes up).

Dammit, look at these FMVs. Make me a remake instead - and those 3 years of mediocrity will be forgiven in an instant.

Though this kinda ruins the ending of FFVII... One of the reason why it was so successful was in the interpretation of whether humans had survived or not, of whether the children laughing were heard as nostalgia, or as a symbolism of future... I guess that's answered now.

As much as I appreciate the art, I will be very deceived if this doesn't lead to a remake/prequel/something that they might not screw up just for the mighty dollar.

I'll be importing this DVD for sure (woot woot for Japanese PS2), but man...I wanted at least a new game.

Though I have to say, this is better than what would've likely happened in a game sequel, aka the revival of Aeris, or something. You know they would've done it.

ahhhh come on, i didn't want them to do anything with FFVII, i just wanted to be as is.

Though if they did something it should have been a game rather then a movie.

weren't you able to bring her back in the japanese version anyways..so who cares if they would have brought her back, we should have gotten the same game anyways

And it would've changed the game considerably, because dealing with death is the theme of the game!
