Amped was a really solid snowboarding game on X Box...i liked it alot.

I played Amped just the other day for my first time. It seemed pretty good to me, the controls weren't too difficult, gameply was pretty sweet, and the graphics looked nice. I do prefer a more arcadey snowboarding game, and SSX fits my criteria perfectly. I'm highly anticipating SSX3 to be one of my top titles this fall (among SO many others....)

I was reading the Edge magazine, and they had this top ten thing going on.. every genre had a top ten list that they considered as the best of the best, it would include games from Speccy era to the PS2.

now extreme sports like snow boarding.. you would of thought that SSX Tricky would be no.1 and closely followed by SSX.. but there wasn't even a mention. no SSX games in the top ten.. in fact Amped got the award...

it was at this point I threw the magazine across the room.

SSX3 will blow the competition apart, the only way it can fail is if it doesn't work, and I think it will. the new 1080 looks good, but nothing compares with almost 30 real life mins on untracked when you open up the whole mountain..

its what everyone I know wants from a snow boarding game, its freedom and length of course.

that Konami game was cool, I cant remember the name of it but you could board down a mountain and the go to a ski lodge and talk to people (looked like Lego men), then catch ski lifts to different parts of the mountain.. good concept, shame it wasnt too well executed.

SSX3 will be cool, im sure of it. when is it out in the States? its out here (apparently) Oct 24..

sounds about right... a lot of games come out the States a week before ours do in the UK....

from what i seen of the pics and reviews ssx3 is going to be a killer game,i am also going to check out 1080' avalanche for
the gamecube if you like snowboarding these 2 games look killer

Doubt I'll get it. I just picked up a used copy of SSX for $7; I'm not sure it was even worth $1.

IMO, Coolboarder 3 (PSX) was MUCH more fun than SSX is. What a turd of a game.
