Quick question about Greatest Hits SOCOM
Does the greatest hits version of the game still come with the headset??? I'm thinking of finally picking this game up now that it's so dirt cheap...

Do you really need the headset to play it online?

It is free to play online but you need a broadband connection. You don't need the headset but I would reccomend it. Any usb headset will work, it does not have to be the official Socom Headset.

even the headsets that don't say "for PS2 online" will work?because if i can find a cheap regular USB headset I'll get one. one that would work with PS2 and my PC would be great.

I had just bought SOCOM like 3 weeks ago.... For $40... and now those dirty bastards put it on greatest hits. I saw that tonight in Walmart.... Before i checked here... I was uber pissed.. And i cant even play it online.. even though now i have a bb connection at my school... so many computers that even the T1 sucks major ****... I can log on sometimes, but it wont let me connect to a game 90% of the time, and even if i do, it logs me off from the server every 5 minutes... I actually got connected and on a game one time... and it was so lagged out the ass... but then i was disconected before i even shot anyone.
BAH ...
