Longer is better in some cases. You get more discreet details and get a better feel for the game. I know you guys have led me to some great decisions on what are rent worthy and what are buy worthy. Don't give in to the system and change the layout of PSXE so you don't have to write longer reviews. Stay the same.

shortening reviews is a horrible idea. they are there so people who are really excited about the game can just drink in all that lovely information and just imagine how awesome the game is gonna be when they finally go out and buy it. for those that don't like the long read? well, they can just look at the rating and decide from that

What's this happy horseshit? You quit the site and like a week later turn into a hater?

You're such a jag-off, Matt

Personally, I don't mind longer reviews, especially if the game warrants it. In fact, I read the entire NCAA Football 2004 review and enjoyed it. However, I find it extremely comical that Arnold goes out of his way to post an announcement on the front page of the site that there will be a new review format, and now obviously it was completely false.

Don't hate the player, Ryan...hate the game.

Jag-off

Uh, Matt...this is a pretty low thread. You aren't looking at the big picture.

At that point I had no idea you were going to leave. As far I was concerned it was still going to be us 3. Now that it's not, I'm letting the contributors write as they wish - and none of the reviews have been long either.

Compare VF4: Evolution, Arnold's EXAMPLE in the new review format, and then compare it with NCAA Football 2004. If there is no difference, then I will shut up.

Either way, I'm not trying to piss anyone off. Sheesh...I thougt it was funny that there was this "New Review Format," when really nothing changed. I'll keep this locked, considering criticism and obvious observations are not welcomed.

Well, Matt, criticism is one thing, but like Arnold said, this was kind of low, seeing as how you have immediate access to both Arnold and myself. You could have mentioned something to one of us on MSN or ICQ.

I just think it's in bad taste to almost immediately criticize the site after leaving.

We still love you, Matthew, but you're still a jag-off
