What do you think about the declining sales in Japan of the PS2? I think it won't last with all these sweet games coming out on PS2 this fall and winter(and even spring) So Nintendo gets one month of glory as being best seller but it won't last (it was probably F-Zero GX that caused it). Oh well... what do you think will happen this fall,winter and spring?

ps2 has a huge lead that wont ever be even touched by a competitor, but this has been a slow year for them so far. Like you said it will pick up some, but either way its been a slow year for ps2 and gaming in general... It seems like there is about a four month window for game releases and then you just settle down and dont buy anything all the other time...

i am not worried too much because you have the PS3 In the near future and PSP next x-mas sony is in great shape,the PS2 has been out 4 years and everybody has one myself i am thinking about buying the PS2 with the online adapter&atv2 thats a sweet deal for $199.99

its hard to believe that Sony hasn't been in the games business as long as Sega and Nintendo. sales have probably dropped due to the time of year as we all gear up for Christmas.

the last time I looked at the sales Sony was back on top after the SP had taken the crown for a couple of months.. the Dreamie was doing well, and the PS1 was out selling the Xbox still. all these things must change due to the law of nature but as KoRn said.. you have the PSX coming out (if we dont buy it, the Japanese will), the PSP and the PS3.. some how I think sony might survive this slump.

Nintendos F-Zero is selling well, im sure from this post it means that F-zero is number one and the GC is out selling the PS2?

all I can think of is many Japanese people didn't buy a GC until they had a game they wanted on it.. unlike the PS2, which has many.

The GC will not enjoy this momentum for another week or two. It was only because of Tales of Symphonia, a game many thought will be on the PS2, but Namco published it exclusively for GC.

Next week: GC sells 10k. PS2 sells Nearly 40k.
