Anyone else bought this yet?

i got mine on saturday.
I thought i would buy it straight away instead of hiring it as im a big indi fan and it got quite good reviews in all the mags ive read.


Obviously theres comparissons between this and tomb raider but IMO indi is A LOT better.
it has what tomb raider is missing, exploring tombs etc...
thats what tomb raider is all about hence the title yet in the new game there is hardly any tombs to explore, so thats why indi is great. Right from the beginning your in india, exploring tombs with alligators in the lakes, its brilliant. (small things please small minds)

the fighting scenes are good too, you can pick up stuff from the environment like shovels, smash them over the head with a chair then pick up the broken chair leg and start beating them some more, its quality!
You can also use the whip to wrap it round there neck and pull them towards you and punch them!

lol... yeah I brought it too!

at first I was pissed off at the graphics.. as everyone is saying that Indy is better than Tomb raider, so I expected better graphics. Plus the frame rate is all over the shop....

BUT...

I see why it is better than Tomb Raider. because I haven't once thought "I really cant be arsed".. lol

I agree, it is a top game. the music is what does it for me... gentle music while you climb and search for stuff... then when you get in to a fight..its theme music time... duh duh din der dun de dur...(ok, that was a bad representation of the music)... but when your punching, it just feels great.. using chairs, bottles and anything you can get your hands on to kick the enemy where it hurts.

AI is weird... on some levels its really sharp. like if someone is climbing a ladder and you kick em off... they will climb right back up the ladder and you would just do the same.. but they wont climb a 3rd time! instead they will wait at the bottom for you to come down. other times you can do a head shot and take out a baddie.. but his mate who stands right next to him wont even flinch.

plus long interesting levels.. though Im only on the 2nd level at the moment.. the first, which is more like a training level was cool, as it just had lots of different things to do..

and the whip! very cool.....


good game.

yeh i wasnt too impressed with the graphics
there not bad but there nothing special at all

there quite good on the characters though

yeh im in prague at the moment, in the library part.
where are you now?

another little touch i like is when you lose your hat while fighting.
had to go back once and get it cos i forgot hehe
i was like shit cant do nothing without the hat hehe

I play the demo. very good game Explorimg, fighting, making great fun combos, whooping asses , yeah! the game is very good, I should buy it.....because I a big Indiana Jones fan.

But I realy like music in the game.

im past the 2nd save in Prague.... not too sure exactly where that is, but it sounds like im not as far through as you... by a touch!

but ill be playing tonight.... hopefully catch up.


lol.. yes, you must keep the hat! im always going back for it. like that bit in the film, but not as dramatic.


characters voice as in Indy is quite well done. doesnt say a lot, but when he does.. it kinda sounds like him.

wot freaked me out (i think in the Prague level) was that cage suspended over a bottomless pit...you had to jump and throw your whip out to... that was scarey as I have fallen to my death a lot in this game.

im in the library now... you were miles ahead Hann....

anyway, talk about leap of faith...

good game! plenty of highs. (as in 200 foot up and leaping off blindly, just to hook your whip on to something you dont even know will work), quite mad.


I think it helps to be an Indy fan.... I find myself singing along

well, from what I have read and what people have said...Indi is far better than Lara... though it is old skool, not nice and plush...

but if you can get over that and youre a fan, I think you will like it.
