Well now that I have both games and finally tore myself away from F-Zero GX, I sat down with SCII. SCII has the same level of pick up and play as the first SC did. Some new things like 8 way running and air control during juggles (Yes, that's right, air control, so beware cheap players!!) I really like. I also like the Weapon Master mode that lets you collect 10 different weapons for 20 of the fighters. SCII is also really purdy to look at.
I've played VF4: Evo way more than I have SCII, so I'm not gonna draw the line as to which I like better just yet. But Both games have a lot good going for them. My advice to anyone, get both games and call in sick for the rest of the week. ![]()

I have to say SC2 without any doubt. Though VF4 was nice i didn't find it as much fun and it didn't have any cool modes like the Weapon Mode, the game also played somewhat slower then SC2.

Shut up, you don't even have or played Evo.
---------- I can't really say there's a clear choice to be made. In terms of gameplay depth, VF4: Evo wins hands down. In terms of value Soul Calibur 2 takes that one. In terms of extras (not modes), VF4: Evo takes that one. In terms of technical stuff, SC2 wins. It's like a ping-pong match, really. No clear winner. Can't say I have a preference. |

once you start fighting against champions and veterans...the gameplay speeds up quite a bit.
I haven't played SC2 yet...but i played the first one....i just like hand to hand fighting better.... but i like blades too...so i am gonna buy SC2 also.

ok... SC2 Vs VF4
VF4 probably wins.. only on depth and AI mode SC2 Vs VF4 Evo.... SC2 wins through amazing everything. with VF4 Evo ditching the whole AI mode, VF4 evo is just a standard (deep) beat em up. personally though, these are two really different games, and I dont know why we are even discussing the whole Vs thing. the topic should be SC2 Vs T4 or SC2 Vs DOA3... that would make more sense. But seeing how VF4 has really really deep game play, its too hard to judge on graphics and movement alone... and thats what we would be doing as that is the only things SC2 and VF4 Evo have in common and thats nice graphics and fluid movement.. both top top games, and both should be owned by anyone with a PS2! ![]()

FTW!

ive played VF4, i own it. does VF Evo play the same? if so i wont like it at all. i could never get used to VF4's controller setup. SCII is awesome in the controllability department though.
