Well everyone, I've been struggling with this decision for some time now and I believe it is the best choice for my current situation. Effective immediately, I will officially be stepping down from my position at PSX Extreme and will no longer be contributing to the site. There are numerous reasons for my decision, but mainly it is simply a clash of priorites. I have been with PSXE since June 2001 and am incredibly grateful for my tenure of over two years. I'd personally like to thank Val and Arnold Katayev for trusting in me the responsibilites involved with working for the site and their dedication to me while I was employed. For the record, there were no problems with Val or Arnold, or anyone else on the current PSXE staff; this is simply my decision that I am making, as I feel it to be necessary.

Along with Val and Arnold, I'd like to thank Ryan Hartmann for his contributions and friendship while I was involved with PSXE. My trip to E3 was a fantastic one and I am very glad I was able to attend. Also, Peter Skerritt has contributed nicely for us over the past few months and I'd like to extend my thanks to him as well.

In the end, there are far too many things going on in my life right now to continue writing for PSX Extreme. Although there is always the possibility of a change in the future, I feel this is the best thing for me. I will continue to post in the forums on occasion, as I still enjoy conversing with everyone. You guys have all been really great and have made my job that much easier.

Feel free to reply to this now that I've changed it from just an announcement.

The site won't be the same without you, Matthew. You did a hell of a job with the news and were an overall great addition to the team. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say you will be missed, and we hope you come back and chat with us from time to time.

Man, I never thought this day would come. Sorry to hear it man, I liked you alot man. But we did get Ryan back. If you were both gone, I wouldn't know where to read all of my gaming reviews! But again, I am very sorry to hear this and maybe later on you will change your mind and come back into games. And if Arnold doesn't want you, you have a pre-made home a GameChump

Truth is, I asked Matt to go fetch my slippers. Ok, so what's the big deal? I actually used the word "fetch", he got bitchy! WTF? I didn't feel like taking his shit, so I fired him and told him to make up some sappy BS thread.

But now, I felt like having the truth known. Matt is worthless. When we were at E3, I asked him if he could toss me a beer. This was about 13 minutes after Ryan had bought the case...he tells me, verbatim, "I just drank the last one". That sent me over the top, just ask Ryan, guys. I was soooo mad.

Matt, remember in LA you thought you stepped on a piece of gum? I was actually chewing the gum and threw it right in front of you hoping you'd step on it.

Bitch, that's what you get!
