Default Turning PS2 off.........

How are we suppoused turn them ps2 off? I always go the game's main menu () first then hold reset for 3 sec (standby) & flip the power switch on the back...........

Is it safe the leave the shit in standby mode for a longer period of time? Some people say they never flip the main power switch ..... and I always do What the ****?

Thx.

I just put it on stand-by if I'm going to play the next day or so. If I'm gone for more than 4 days...I flip the switch in the back. No worries Jumbo!

I bought mine used (no instructions), so I wasn't even aware that you could shut it down by holding the reset button. In other words, up until about three weeks ago, I ALWAYS shut mine off with the main switch in the back.

It's never given me any problems, but from now on I will use the standby method.

I don't think it would hurt to leave it in standby indefinitely (would it?). My other electronics are in standby when not on (my receiver, DVD player, subwoofer, etc.).

Does anyone out there have a manual and know for certain?

I had mine for 2 years, and I turned it off in the back everytime I was done. And In never had a single problem.
