Default The current state of the PS2 - Has it met your ecspectations?

IMO, the PS2 has surpassed all of my ecspectations by a long shot. The amount of games that I like and own and still need to buy is rather large. And it has had a great mix of games over the past 3 years.

I've had the PS2 for over a year now, and I find that I still play psx games on it more than the PS2 titles I own... Graphically, it's ok, but I just haven't seen as much innovation in this generation of games as I saw during the psx/saturn/n64/dreamcast era...

No it hasn't met my "ecspectations" yet. I don't play it or have nearly as many games as I expected to when I purchased it but a lot of that may have to do with me just not being into gaming as much as I used to. It's certainly not a bad system by any strech of the imagination and it's definatly the best of this generation IMO.

i just got mine not too long ago...about 4 months ago.

it's well beyond my expectations.....there are so many games that came out since the system did that i haven't even played...and they are all like 20 bucks or less....it's made me very happy....

not to mention all the games coming out that i want.

If somebody bought one almost three years after it was released im sure they wouldnt be disappointed. If they bought it the day it was released, like i did, they may very easily be disappointed, like to a degree i am, but do hope it gets better...

i would have to say its met my expectations. graphics wise and games wise. i have more game for the ps2 than any console or my pc, so that probably means something.
